Seven people died in the Jharkhand air ambulance crash, which was en route to Ranchi – Delhi. The air ambulance took off at 7:30 pm and crashed near the Bariatu Panchayat area of Simaria, which is located deep in the forest. Leads to killing all seven people onboard including the pilots.
The aircraft, a Beechcraft C90, operated by Redbird Airways Pvt Ltd, took off from Ranchi at 7:11 pm, and the aircraft went missing at 7:30 pm and was later found crashed in the Bariatu Panchayat area of Simaria, which is a dense forest region, said Chatra Deputy Commissioner Keerthishree G.

The victim’s bodies have been recovered and sent to the postmortem. The air ambulance was arranged to transfer Sanjay Kumar. He was going under treatment at Ranchi Hospital, and his family decided to go for advanced treatment in Delhi.
The Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB) has sent a team to the crash site fir detailed inquiry.

Jharkhand Air Ambulance Crash: Deviation Request
According to the reports, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) said that the air ambulance has “requested deviation due to weather.” After contacting the Kolkata air traffic control, exactly after that, the communication and radar signals were lost.
The search team has successfully completed its rescue operation, and the officials are waiting for the findings to know the exact sequence of the incident.
The local people have reported that the weather was stormy, with strong winds, and dark during the incident. According to DGCA, Redbird Airways Pvt Ltd, Beechcraft C90 aircraft VT-AJV was transferring the patient, Sanjay Kumar Ranchi – Delhi, for advanced treatments, has been crashed in Kasaria Panchayat at Chatra district, in Jharkhand. Seven people have was onboard, including two crew members.
The aircraft took off from Ranchi at 7:11 IST. The contact time with Kolkata was 7:34. After that, all communications and radar signals were lost.

BJP Leader Champai Soren and former Jharkhand chief minister showed deep sorrow over this incident. In a post on X formerly (Twitter), he has written, “I am deeply saddened by the news of the air ambulance crash in Simaria, Chatra district, while en route from Ranchi to Delhi. A total of seven people, including crew members, were on board this air ambulance.”
Not only the BJP but the All India Trinamool has also shown condolences over the incident
The Congress party wrote X “The tragic crash of an air ambulance in Jharkhand’s Chatra district, claiming the lives of all seven persons on board, is a matter of profound sorrow. We extend our deepest condolences to the bereaved families and stands in solidarity with them in this hour of grief”.

Reports have stated that the victim, Sanjay Kumar’s family, has taken a loan of 8 lakhs for the air ambulance.
The Hospital Authorities have stated that Sanjay Kumar has suffered several burn injuries caused by a short circuit in the hotel. Sanjay had a poor family background, and they had rented the aircraft by taking a loan from his relatives.
A last-minute emergency contact happened with Kolkata at 7:35 pm for an alternate route due to bad weather conditions. After the communication, the Jharkhand Air Ambulance Crash happened, and all the people on board died.
